About Jazz Improvisation
Improvisation is an integral part of jazz - as well as of many other folk forms of the world music culture. Initially jazz was a kind of folk music (the jazz epoch goes to the 1889s). Jazz and jazz improvisation have been developing for some time side by side in two forms: piano jazz and orchestra jazz.
